I am the math teacher at Western Christian Academy and have been married for over seven years to my wonderful husband. In addition to math, my love of science has granted me the privilege to teach a few science classes as well. I enjoy learning about the world around me, and research everything new that I see and do not know about. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, and running.

My education includes an Associate Degree from Porterville College, Portersville, California where I grew up, a Bachelor of Mathematics from Colorado Christian University, Lakewood, Colorado and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University, Tucson, Arizona. My love of God, the Bible, and my local church inspired me to minor in biblical studies.

The Testimony of Janet Chung

Before I got married I was Janet Thompson, the middle child of 5 children. As a child, I got to know Jesus in an intimate way. I was born into a Christian home where we often talked about and prayed to Jesus. We had scriptures we would learn in church programs. I did go to Vacation Bible School every summer. I did realize that I was a sinner and Jesus could remove my sin if I would call on Him asking, I would be forgiven. I accepted Jesus as my savior at Vacation Bible School between Kindergarten and First grade. In the children’s department at church we learned many scriptures. I do try to continue learning scriptures.
