I joined Western Christian Academy the summer of 2017 as the Parent Teacher Advocate. I have been married for 36+ years to a wonderful man and we have two adult children, a daughter and a son, who recently got married. I, along with my husband, homeschooled our children all the way through high school and then they went on to get bachelor degrees through an online college program and God has blessed them in their endeavors.
Before having children, I was a high school Home Economics teacher in a public school. When my children were older, I worked for the U.S. Forest Service here in the Sierra Nevada mountains as a Wildlife Biology Technician and as a Visitor Information Specialist. I love the mountains and spending time there marveling at the wonders God has made for us to enjoy. I also enjoy working outside, sewing, scrapbooking, and reading. I asked Jesus into my heart at 9 years old and He has blessed me and carried me through so much. He is the foundation of my life.
I am looking forward to helping and encouraging parents to be the best teacher their students need for their educational success and to get the most out of what Western Christian Academy has to offer them.
