From the Principal…
Western Christian Academy has been in existence for over 35 years. In this time period, we have evidenced that communication is the most important component to a student’s educational success. This leads to asking the question, “Why?”
Why is communication with your school so important?
5 Reasons Why Communication Is Important
1. It’s your school!! – Taking ownership in what you own improves the outcomes desired.
2. Stay informed – Checking emails and phone messages provides knowledge. Replying to communications demonstrates that the information was received.
3. Shows care & concern for your student’s education
4. Sets an example for your students – This is a life skill. Professionalism is a respected character trait.
5. It allows WCA to fulfill our mission – Western Christian Academy is dedicated to assisting families, by providing quality academic programs from a Christian worldview, through individualized instruction and affordability. We cannot assist families unless there is communication between school & family and family & school. Communication eliminates assumptions and creates accountability for all involved. It is through the communications of the last 35 plus years that Western Christian Academy has excelled.

Meet the Staff Corner
Tim Eberly
My name is Timothy Eberly. You can call me Timothy or Tim. Either one works. I learned early on that the best way to learn something is to do it yourself. At le
ast this is what worked best for me.
After high school, I taught myself how to juggle, ride a unicycle, play the didgeridoo, play chess at an advanced level, graphic design, photography and different area
s of computer programming.
Some of the languages I learned include Classic ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, MSSQLSERVER2008, HTML, CSS, and some Java. I teach Computer Science classes at WCA. I am a graphic Designer and work with WCA’s website and marketing.
I have always been interested in logic and finding the truth, which is one of the main reasons I love the Christian faith. When Jesus said he was the Truth, He was not kidding. The Word is incredible as it verifies itself continually, which, I guess explains why my life verse is my life verse.
My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”
Joke for Thanksgiving:
Can a turkey jump higher than the Empire State Building?

An Important Challenge:
An important part of our job as parents and educators is helping our students to develop the key attribute of responsibility. This is an important challenge. Keeping the importance of this challenge in mind, we request that you help your student commit to the discipline of completing their daily assignments, so as to not fall behind schedule on their schoolwork.
