Rebecca Barr
One of my favorite verses is: Psalm 118:14 “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”
I am happily married and blessed with a precious daughter. I love spending my free time immersed in a good book, working on a knitting project, or being surrounded by my loved ones. I hold a degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics from Western Governors University.
Testimony of Rebecca Barr
During my childhood, I was taught about Christ and the sacrifice He made for me so that I may be with my Heavenly Father. When I was 16, my mother left the Mormon church, which was a difficult time for me as I couldn’t understand why she chose to no longer believe in the church I grew up in. By the following year, I realized that she still believed that Christ was the Savior and she desired a close relationship with God.
By the time I began college, I stopped going to church for some time. Yet I desired a relationship with God. I was beginning to discover that I no longer shared the same beliefs of my youth. I began to question many things that I believed were true. It has been an ongoing journey as I rediscover my faith. Throughout this, He has blessed me and opened many doors. When my daughter was born, I worried about returning to a full time job and placing her in day care. He heard my worries and brought me to Western Christian Academy. I have been able to be with her and grow my faith at the same time. I love my Savior and I want my daughter to share in His love.
