Doctrinal Statement Of Faith
It is the mission of Western Christian Academy to be a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to assisting the church and families through biblical education to become a Godly influence in the world. Character development and academic excellence are core values we aim to instill in each student with biblical worldview individualized curriculum. Western Christian Academy adheres to the historical truths of biblical orthodoxy and identifies our Statement of Faith as our foundation.
We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man and that the original writings of the Holy Scriptures is verbally inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory
We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of the new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live godly lives
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that alienation be removed
The Bible as the authoritative source of all beliefs about the sanctity of human life. Since man is made in the image of God (the imago dei), defending and supporting the sanctity of human life, beginning at conception, is imperative belief and as a result we do not endorse the taking of life without cause including, but not limited to, murder, abortion, euthanasia, and suicide.
We believe the Bible teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman. Western Christian Academy is committed to providing our students with a biblical worldview and fully believes what the Bible says about marriage. Jesus’s definition of marriage includes several important truths: 1) Marriage is a covenant designed by God. 2) This biblical definition of marriage is not conditioned by culture or personal perspective but decided by God from the beginning and expected to continue until eternity. 3) Marriage is intended to be between one man and one woman as God biologically created them male and female at birth. Hence, any other proposals for marriage are outside of God’s intended design.
We believe God created each person wonderfully and immutably male and female. These two distinct, yet complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Therefore, the rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
The Bible portrays human sexuality as a gift given by God to the first married couple, originally biologically created as male and female, to unite them for the purposes of pleasure and procreation to the glory of God. God is the author of sex, and in holy heterosexual matrimony, He encourages a husband and wife to enjoy his or her spouse in love. The holy purpose of God from the very beginning was for sex and marriage to be monogamous between one man and one woman, as originally biologically created by God, united in holy matrimony for life.
This design was marred by sin which twisted God’s purpose and began to promote sex for pleasure without the unique monogamous covenantal marriage commitment that the Bible requires in love, God has established distinct roles and responsibilities for women and men. We affirm the Bible’s teaching on biblical gender roles, which teaches men and women are equal in value but different in their functions within the home and the church. We also affirm that the opinions, ideas, and proposals of men and women are of equal value and should be considered under the instruction of the Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that all men are created equal and have a responsibility to both God and Man. This equality and responsibility is accomplished through Christ, who is the transforming agent to the sinfulness of mankind, which separates man from man and man from God. In Christ, mankind is one and Christ is all and in all.
While the term “race” is often used as a social construct to denote a person’s cultural background coupled with other physiological characteristics (such as skin color), the Bible consistently employs the term ethnos (Gr. ἔθνος; cf. “ethnic” and “ethnicity”) to describe such distinctives. In the clearest terms, Western Christian Academy emphatically and unequivocally denounces all forms of ethnic supremacy, racism/racialization, ethnic division, and ethnic prejudice (i.e. what James 2:1-13 describes as personal favoritism, making distinctions, and partiality) because it portrays a false image of God’s Tri-unity, violates the two Great Commandments (Matt 22:36-40), and denigrates His good work of creation. The Christian cannot and must not be silent in the face of ethnic prejudice. The Gospel serves as the antidote for this evil. As ambassadors for Christ, we must represent Him faithfully as ministers of reconciliation and press toward godly unity and fellowship with brothers and sisters from all backgrounds. Therefore, race and ethnicity have no bearing to the stakeholders of Western Christian Academy. All students have an equal opportunity to learn if they so choose.
