Tammie Barr

I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Ashford University, and have a Multiple Subject Credential through CSU, Fullerton (CalState Teach). Prior to joining WCA, I have worked as a preschool teacher, an instructional aide for special education, and a teacher for students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

My husband and I have a beautiful blended family of 6 children, and lots of animals located in the rolling hills of Auberry, California. When I’m home, I enjoy spending time with my soul mate, family, and friends. We spend our time running our cattle and bee ranch, along with selling fresh eggs, and vegetables from our garden in the summer. There is always a project to work on or something new to learn!

I joined the Western Christian Academy Family in the summer of 2016 as a teacher. Now, I am the Vice-Principal and the Academic Counselor for preschool through 8th grade. I enjoy working with all the families that join our community every day. I look forward to the new challenges that we face, and the lessons that we learn each day, as they are all blessings from above. May your life be blessed!

Testimony of Tammie Barr

I was born and raised in a Christian home. As a child, I remember attending church and Sunday school almost every Sunday. In the summer, we attended a Christian camp and vacation bible school. About middle school I was baptized. Believing in God and attending church was our way of life.

When I was in high school, I went through some tough times with losing my best friend and having a really sick parent. I questioned God and my relationship with him, along with all the people in my life. As I became an adult and got married, I made the decision to recommit my life to Christ. Like many others in the world, life has been filled with tough times, tragedies, loss, blessings, grace, and much growth.

Now, as a wife, mother, and grandparent, I can look back over the different chapters of my life and see how my relationship with our Heavenly Father has carried me through the tough times, guided me in times of struggle, and stood with me in the blessings of this life. In this ever changing world filled with sin, deceit, unfaithfulness, and demonism we still have hope. Peace and hope exist and can be seen in God’s Holy Word, in knowing what Christ has done for us at the cross, and in the promises he has made for our future.
