The Easter Message…

So often, Easter rushes by with a flurry of bunnies, colored eggs, baskets and bows. It’s all too easy to to allow the true meaning of Easter to slip away. Yet, it’s ever so important to teach our children – and to remind ourselves of – the true meaning behind Easter.

God created us in His own image to love and serve Him forever. Yet even before he created the first man and woman, God knew that sin would come into the word and separate us from Him. So… before the first star winked in the Heavens above us, God planned to send his Son to save His people. And then at the perfect time, His Son Jesus did come…the Son of God who never sinned, died to take our punishment for our sins. Three days later, He conquered death and rose from the grave.

One day we will be raised up to a new and eternal life in a new and perfected body. Our hearts will be made like His – full of love, joy, and peace…and we will spend forever and eternity with Him. This has always been God’s plan. We just need to simply follow Him.

The Gospel of John 3:16-17 says:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

Here we see it.!
The message of Easter is the message of God’s love for the world. And because of this enormous love, He has come to save the world. He came into the pain and, after all the heartache, the empty tomb… The Resurrection, the very center of hope, where Jesus is victoriously giving us forgiveness, a new start and victory over death. Be encouraged!

From Our Hearts To Yours…Happy Easter!

WCA Alumni Spotlight

This exists so that past, present and future generations can know and acknowledge the huge amount of work and dedication among our alumni base and for all to understand why Western Christian Academy has been chosen by students and families for generations.

Western Christian Academy has taught 2nd and 3rd generations of students the value of hard work, dedication, faith and commitment to Christ, a will to never give up, and pride in themselves. They have learned the skills to win yet they have also learned how to handle crises…and at times, even defeat. For in this, you learn to overcome future problems and secure solutions to problems facing our society. The diversity of our student population also enables us to learn from each other, thus enabling us to impact many for Christ around the world.

They have one more on the way!
Hi! My name is Jonathan “Luke ” Kessler.

I am a 1998 WCA High School Graduate. I am also one of 5 students in my family who graduated from WCA. I currently serve as a contractor on the Central Coast with Central Coast Construction/Jubilee Construction.

After completing high school with WCA, I attended Elim Bible School and lived in Singapore for one year as a missionary. Later, I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Beacon University, majoring in Biblical Studies.

I married in 2019 and have a lovely wife and a 2 year old son with another baby due soon.

As I reflect back upon my education with Western Christian Academy, I learned to be self-motivated and an independent learner and developed excellent critical thinking skills which have helped me throughout my life.

Due to the solid foundation in education that I received at WCA, I found college was much easier for me than for many of my peers who had not yet developed the above-mentioned skills.

Thanks WCA!

“Luke” Kessler

Kid’s Funnies!

Oh so Funny!

“A little boy opened the big family Bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages.

‘Mama, look what I found,’ he called out. ‘What have you got there, dear?’ With astonishment in his voice, he answered, ‘I think it’s Adam’s underwear!’”

Another funny answer–A WCA 5th grade student defines Eternity:

“If there was a worm that wanted to see the whole entire world, think how long that would take him. Then every time that he got back he would go again. He went so many times that he wore a groove in the earth. It would take a day just for him to go a mile. He will have to dig under ground to get through some places. The worm would have to wait to cross roads. He would do this 5,000,000 times and that isn’t even close to how long eternity is.”

Parents, Is Your Child Actively Engaging With His/Her
Teachers When Needing Assistance?

Did you realize that all Teacher on Call students can request a pre-recorded VIDEO addressing any specific skill, so that they can watch it repeatedly to reinforce that skill or concept?

Also, your student can request assistance via phone calls, email, messaging, SKYPE (with or without video) or GOOGLE MEET.

“Does your child know the right question to ask? Does your student know the the right person to request help from… to get the right answers? “

Our teachers are available to assist our students with instruction, mentoring, and the development of life skills through the academic process.

If your student is struggling, please encourage them to ask for help!

Our teachers and teacher’s assistants are here for YOUR STUDENT/S.
