Introducing WCA’S

Dual Credit

Program

Western Christian Academy (WCA) And
College Of Biblical Studies (CBS)

Our dual credit program is designed to encourage students to complete their high school diploma while gaining college credits to put towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

A combined 87 years of Christian Education.
This partnership not only provides students with the opportunity to get a head start on their college education but also helps to reduce the overall cost of attending college.

By allowing students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously, they are able to save time and money on their path to obtaining a higher education degree.

Meet The Carlson Family!

Zoe is a 2023 WCA Graduate! Way to go Zoe! We are so proud of YOU!

Her sister Savannah is following in her footsteps and is currently completing the 8th Grade and will soon be entering high school.

We are so thankful for families like the Carlson family who have chosen WCA as their choice for “excellence in education”.

Zoe’s Parents said this about WCA: During the height of the pandemic, we decided as a family we would keep our children home and begin looking for options for a solid Christian foundation school online. After searching and searching, one school was always at the forefront …WCA!! What a blessing it has been to our family!! We were a little skeptical at first, not knowing what to expect. But, WCA has far exceeded our expectations. The faculty, staff and teachers have only been nothing but professional. The quality Christian education, which WCA provides, has been invaluable to our family. We feel as parents, homeschooling our children has brought our family closer together. We have been able to do so much more together, while still feeling confident our children are getting a high-quality education at the same time. None of this would be possible without the dedicated staff at WCA. We will always be grateful to have found WCA and the educational opportunities they provide to our children and the many others just like us.

Celebrating…

WCA 2023 High School Graduate – Zoe Olivia Esau

The thing I liked most about WCA was being able to have the opportunity to continue receiving a Christian education from home. I have been part of a brick and mortar Christian school since 5th grade; however, I wasn’t sure what to expect with homeschooling. I was very happy with the class choices WCA offered and found I was able to have a larger variety of class choices than my previous Christian school. My last three years of school were with WCA and I have no regrets regarding being a homeschooled WCA student. I got a great education and felt by being homeschooled I had more flexibility with my time. In the last three years, we had three huge family weddings and my first nephew was born! I was able to participate in those memorable events to the fullest because of WCA.

Two of my favorite teachers were Mr. Christiansen and Mrs. Plotz. Both of them were always willing to take the extra time to help me when I was struggling. I always felt I could bother either of them as much as necessary and they gladly were always willing to help explain assignments in greater detail. My favorite subject was History. It was interesting for me to learn how we got where we are today! I enjoyed Bible because we can never know too much about God’s Word.

Some of my favorite hobbies are shopping with friends or spending time with my friends. Our family has participated in 4-H for many years by showing in the local livestock fairs. I have always enjoyed showing market lambs each year. This will be my final year showing sheep and I’m really looking forward to it! One of my most favorite things is being able to go to a weekly Saturday night Bible study at my grandparent’s house for food and fellowship!

Since graduating, I have gotten a full- time job at one of our large local banks as a bank teller. I really enjoy learning the ins and outs of the banking industry. In today’s world, it is an ever-changing field with something new going on every day. I love meeting new people and in my position I get to do some light traveling to different branches which I also enjoy. I’m not sure how long I will continue to work in this particular field. I just wanted to get some life experiences after graduation. I have always loved doing hair and makeup. In a year or two, I am considering going to cosmetology school.

I am excitedly awaiting the opportunities God has for me in this next chapter of my life.

Sisters, Zoe & Savannah

We are so proud of both of you!
