WCA February 2021 Newsletter

“God’s love is

contraconditional.”

It’s contrary

to what we deserve.

It’s not merited.

Nonetheless,

it calls us

to a life of righteousness

and holiness.

John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

What better way to show this love to others then through a TENder act of kindness done in Jesus name! The idea being for $10 or less come up with something that you can do or give to someone else and in the process share with them a card that gives Jesus all the credit & glory. Let us know what you did! Share a photo.

The Principal’s Corner

When everyone thinks of love, we usually remember Valentine’s Day. In fact February is the National Heart Month! Valentine’s Day is a day filled with chocolates, roses, those cheesy Sweethearts conversation candies and most importantly, LOVE.

While it’s fun to shower our love and sometimes to receive it, we can’t forget about the greatest love there is: Jesus’s perfect love. Our wonderful Savior, who paid the ultimate price for us, cannot be forgotten on the day dedicated to love. People on earth will bounce back between love and hate, but Jesus will always love us, no matter what.

So while many hope that their ‘crush’ will notice them, let’s constantly praise God for His amazing and unfailing love to us.

Stone’s Biography

My name is Stone Wilson. I am 12 years old and I am a 6th grader at Western Christian Academy. I love going to WCA because I am able to help out on the ranch, while doing schoolwork.

I love working with my mom and dad. We have a lot of cows and horses to take care of. We also have chickens and three dogs. I like doing fun things like riding my horses, feeding cows, target shooting, and playing with my dogs. My family and I enjoy roping and spending time together.

I am an only child. I have quite a few cousins that I have a lot of fun with when we get together. I also enjoy drawing and playing games with friends.

When I grow up, I want to be a rancher like my dad. I love all of our animals and I enjoy everything about taking care of them. I learn new things every day about nature, wildlife, the seasons, and our livestock. I like running our skid-steer and other types of equipment that we have on our ranch.

I went to public school for the first 3 years of my education. We live 60 miles from town, so my mom and I had to rent a house near my old school. We missed my dad and our ranch life a lot. We heard about WCA from some ranching friends. We liked what we heard and decided to look into it deeper. I’m so glad that my mom and dad decided to homeschool me. It has not only saved us time and money, but it’s brought our family even closer together. We no longer spend any time apart and we are very involved in our lives together. I love that I can go to school from anywhere. I have enjoyed all of my teachers so far and I can’t express how thankful I am to Western Christian Academy.

I tell everyone proudly about my school and how they can attend WCA too!

Here is what Stone’s parents are saying…

We are so thankful to have found WCA. It has meant the world to us that our son is getting a quality education from the comfort of our home. Our lives are a bit different than some because we live so rurally. WCA welcomed us in with open arms and Stone hit the ground running in his studies. We love that he is learning lifelong lessons in WCA and that his studies keep him engaged. We also appreciate the fact that Stone has a teacher he can visit with when he needs help. WCA is so much more than just an online school. Its Christian-based nature is something we also embrace. We are grateful for the kind, helpful staff and for everyone who has a hand in Stone’s education.

We know that the scholastic foundation our son is building will be one that he will grow from the rest of his life. We couldn’t be happier!
