A Message From The Founder Of WCA

Dr. Clint Kneeland

Dear WCA Family,

Greetings for 2022 and beyond. We are into the 2nd semester of our 38th year of operation and rejoicing with our families about what God is doing. We are expecting the largest 12th grade graduating class in our history. Congratulations Class of 2022!

As we continue to minister to families by providing an Individualized Curriculum with a Biblical Worldview, we want our students to become more grounded in the Word of God and seek His will for their lives. Our staff and teachers are committed to assisting your family and praying for your students daily.

We will be expanding our curriculum and staff to help our students look to God’s Word and “Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” We know that the enemy wants to destroy what we are doing but we are trusting in God to lead us and praise Him for the open doors we are experiencing to expand into other countries.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”

Your prayers and support for the WCA staff are appreciated.

When We Think Of Valentine’s Day,

We Think Of Love…

What Is Love?

As simple as this question is, it’s answer is very complex. Love is much like our God, multifaceted. According to 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (NASB) God shares all of the same attributes. I find that interesting!

Knowing what love is, inspires the next question. Does my life reflect love? Personally, I find myself lacking in many of these attributes. This then encourages me to draw closer to God so that I am able to grow and be strengthened. That’s the beauty of our God. We never have to act in our own power! He is with us!

Love is simple, yet complex. Love shines a light on our weaknesses in order to strengthen us. Love is something to strive toward, because it reflects God’s attributes. Love offers the security of never being alone. Love is beautiful! Love is the very epitome of our Creator. What is love?

God is love!

President’s Day

February 21, 2022 – Our WCA Office will be closed

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

The Bible tells us to pray for our king, or, in our case, the President, and everyone who is a leader in the country.

Whether we like the President and our leaders right now or not, they have a big job leading the country, and God wants us to pray for them that they do a good job and make the right decisions.

Join with WCA to pray for the President and our leaders right now.

At WCA, we understand that the role of the parent is essential to the success of the student.

Caring staff and technical support are available for parents, and qualified teachers are available to our
students for tutoring and support. As a distance learning school, we serve students from all fifty states
and numerous countries, and we believe that our focus on individualized education allows us to adapt
to the learning needs of each one of our students.

Has your student considered college?

The financial rewards are a huge motivation. A college education is more important now than ever.
The facts are that college graduates tend to earn more income than high school graduates and have
many more job opportunities.

Over a lifetime, a person with a 4-year degree will make nearly $1 million more than someone
with only a high school diploma.

Fresh out of college, first-generation graduates get the same jobs and earn the same income as graduates whose parents went to college.

According to one estimate, by the year 2028 there will be 19 million more jobs for educated workers than there will be qualified people to fill them.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows that more education results in higher pay and a reduced rate of unemployment.

So help your student focus on building a great future with wonderful hope for a better tomorrow!

Hints For Parents:

Has your child ever had a meltdown and just exploded in anger? Did you send them to their room to deal with it? Listening is what helps a person feel valued.

Next time, consider connecting with your child, instead of isolating them, strengthen your relationship by involving them in problem-solving skills, and helping them learn the vital skills which will help reduce negative actions and outbursts.

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me
the strength.” Philippians 4:13

A Homeschool Parent’s Reasons To Homeschool

God’s heart wants children who are like Caleb, whose hearts are fully His. He wants Daniel’s who can take on a king and stand strong in the midst of ungodliness. He wants Joseph’s who, although they are falsely accused and put in places of confinement, are godly examples of excellence and service to the King of Kings. He wants Shadrach’s, Meshach’s, and Abednego’s who will not bow to the idols of the day, even in the face of death. He wants obedient Esther’s who aren’t afraid to trust their God for miraculous deliverance. He longs for Timothy’s, who from a young age, are bathed in the Scripture from infancy and are ready to preach the Word and serve the Lord. God wants the hearts of the fathers to be returned to their children and the hearts of the mothers to be joyful mothers of children, so that a Godly heritage might be raised up for His glory and divine plans and purposes.

Note From A WCA
Graduate’s Parent:

What Lindsey’s Parents are saying:

Her favorite thing about Western Christian Academy is how her teachers are always willing to listen and help; it seems like they won’t quit working until they are sure that their students have mastered the subject in which they are working. The BIGGEST LESSON Western Christian Academy has taught Lindsey is to embrace a challenge, for challenges are just another opportunity to learn something new.

Update: Lindsey is now enrolled in college and pursuing a degree in psychiatry. She wants to help erase the stigma of “mental illness” and to help others overcome who are battling this giant in their lives.
