To Connect And Reflect The Values Of WCA To Its
Families And Students…
What Is Love?
Do you remember what it was like to give gifts and/or to spontaneously have a special date night out with your spouse, or maybe even to enjoy a movie night with family or friends? These surprises are so much more fun than a planned festivity. It’s exciting to see their eyes light up when they realize… It’s all about them!
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 we learn about “the true meaning of love.”
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
Prayer is a form of “love in action.” As we journey through 2023, let’s focus on what God says love is and apply it to every relationship we have. This month and throughout this year, let’s focus on expressing God’s kind of love to our family, friends, and those who so desperately need Christ. Only then will they know that we are Christians…literally by seeing and experiencing His love flowing in and through us.
Students, maybe this could be an opportunity for you to let your teachers know how much you love and appreciate them. Your family and friends also need that special gift of love as well. God’s kind of love truly changes the way we look and interact with those around us. Prayer changes everything when overflowing from a heart of love.
Maybe focus on that one IRREGULAR person in your life and allow God to use you to melt their hearts and cause them to see JESUS in a way they have never seen Him revealed previously. Pray for them consistently.
Every day brings new opportunities to allow Jesus to shine in and through us.
Determine to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in just one person’s life this month!
You can do this!

“The righteous man who walks in integrity and lives life in accord with his [godly] beliefs— How blessed [happy and spiritually secure] are his children after him [who have his example to follow].” Proverbs 20:7 Amplified Version
PRAYER REQUESTS
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) We hope that these Scriptures on intercession encourage you as you seek the Lord each day in prayer. Whether you have been praying for someone for a few weeks or for many years, don’t stop praying. PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING!
WCA is praying for YOU!

WCA Introduces 9th Grade Student
Sophia Yoder
This is our 3rd year being a part of Western Christian Academy. Our daughters Isabella and Sophia began attending WCA in order to receive a great education when other schooling was no longer an option. We stayed at WCA because we loved the freedom it has afforded us as a family. The team of teachers have been supportive, encouraging, and helpful.
We live in rural PA and have a small hobby farm including ducks, chickens, guinea hens, and a Great Pyrenees named Leo who helps keep all the animals safe.
As a family we enjoy swimming and fishing in the pond in the summer and ice skating in the winter. We love to be outside and are so thankful for the land on which God has given us to live.
Congratulations Isabeli!

Introducing WCA Middle School Graduate
WCA 9th Grade Student – Sophia Yoder
Sophia says this about her experience at WCA:
My favorite teacher at WCA is Mr. Christiansen. I love the weekly encouragement he sends out. He is not afraid to challenge us, but he does it in a loving way.
My favorite subject this year is Spanish. I love learning about different Spanish-speaking countries and how to communicate with the people who live there!
One of my hobbies is playing basketball. My favorite part about basketball is playing defense, or when I get a fast-break. I also enjoy dancing, wood work, and outdoor activities. In the future I would like to do some kind of ministry. I would also like to learn more about prophetic dance.
I am very thankful for the family, school, and opportunities God has given me. I am excited to see where he takes me and my family in the future!
“Sophia is very much a blessing, and an encourager herself. I love reading her responses to my weekly messages. I can tell she loves Jesus, and the Word of God.
Together we can change our world for the glory of God!
“Investing in our nation’s students by providing them with a quality Christian education ensures that America has a bright future.”
