Happy New Year 2022!
As we think of think of the New Year, we think of new beginnings and renewed hope! When I was a child, my favorite tradition around New Year’s Eve was thinking up new year goals and resolutions.
I remember being so excited to turn my dreams into realities — I felt so empowered and grown-up. You can too!
God is a God of fresh starts.
He is the author of the new chapter, the architect of the new design, the voice behind the new song. God knows the way forward. In His plan the prodigal gets a new robe, the weary find new strength, and the lonely find a friend.
Remember this: “No matter what kind of disappointment or grief or trouble or heartache you’ve encountered, God offers an opportunity to begin again.”
WCA is pleased and honored to offer your student/s a FRESH START! We are here to encourage and support you throughout this New Year! If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 800-868-5839.

School Choice Week
January 23-29, 2021
School Choice is the process of allowing every family to choose the K-12 educational options that best fits their children.
Every child is unique, and all children learn differently.
That’s why School Choice is so important!

There has been a doubling of U.S. households that were homeschooling at the start of the 2020-2021 school year compared to the prior year. These numbers have continued to grow in the 2021-2022 school year.
It’s clear that in an unprecedented environment, families are seeking solutions that will reliably meet their health and safety needs, their childcare needs and the learning and socio-emotional needs of their children. Many families have chosen WCA to enhance their home education experience.
If you are considering online learning for the 2021-2022 or the 2022-2023 school year, then WCA is offering you the “BEST” in education, presented from a Biblical worldview, with individualized learning, at an affordable price.
Call our office at 800-868-5839. You can also go to our website at www.westernchristianacademy.com for more information.

Attention California Families and Students:
We continue to be as vigilant as ever in California to protect your homeschool freedoms.
We have monitored and reviewed SB 276 and SB 714 (Pan, 2019). While SB 276 and SB 714 are an attack on parental rights, they are not changing the section that excludes home-based private school students (private homeschool students) from mandatory immunizations. This includes students who are enrolled in a home-based private school (whose family filed their own Private School Affidavit) and students enrolled in a Private School Satellite Program (PSP).
Home-based private school students are still excluded from the section of the law requiring immunizations.
We at WCA are not attorneys, and we are not giving out legal advice.
If you have further specific questions regarding this or any other legal issue, please contact Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), whose staff is available to answer legal questions for their members.
For more information, read HSLDA’s “Updates to California Immunizations Laws and Related Record-Keeping and Reporting Requirements” published on September 20, 2016.
Home School Legal Defense Association: www.hslda.org (540) 338-5600. They can provide information regarding students from every state.
Save $20 on becoming a Homeschool Legal Defense Association member by using “Western Christian Academy” and group #5274691 on the linked membership form.

What Brynn's and Miles's parents are saying:
Note from a Parent:
Our family chose WCA because we strongly believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we wanted a curriculum that was focused around the same teachings and followed the Word of God. We enjoy camping and traveling. Summer months are spent visiting various State and National Parks. We also love Fall camping in Branson, MO. It is one of our favorite places to visit. During the Winter we head to Florida to escape the extreme Illinois cold. We look forward to the beaches, the swimming, biking and hiking and all of the outdoor activities that are usually put on hold during an Illinois winter.
