The Principal’s Corner

The Steps Of A Good Man Are Ordered
By The Lord…
God takes us through where we have been to get us to where He wants us.

· The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. Proverbs 21:1

· The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Looking back, my life has been one that has been orchestrated by God. It reminds me of, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…” and that all of creation was good, except for mankind, that was “very good!” God has not been God just in the good times, but much more in the depths of despair. The joys and the afflictions of my life have developed within me, deep down, a tangible knowledge that He will never leave me or forsake me.

I am so thankful for the patience of God. Growing up in a “Christian” home was not without its dysfunctions and hurt. My life’s focus could be summed up in James 4:17: So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. It is my responsibility and nobody else’s but, I see only one set of footprints in the sand and they are not mine.

I have not gotten where I am today by my own bootstraps, even though there is a personal responsibility. God’s will for my life has never been a struggle, but a realization that the making of my plans, dreams, and goals are subject to the establishment of God’s steps in and throughout my life. The accomplishments in my life have never been about chance or luck, but a perpetual understanding, an awareness, that God causes “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28.

Therefore, through times of doubt and uncertainty to times of joy and prosperity, I have peace and a hope that tomorrow is just another step on the path the Lord has for me. I hope that you are living in the certainty of our living God.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Psalms 37:23-24

Why WCA For My Child Or My Children?

Did you know…
In the US today, there are about 2 million children who are homeschooled? This represents an annual increase of between 7 to 15 percent. Homeschoolers may become happier and more productive adults. Statistics show that 5000 thousand adults, out of a group of 7,300 adults who had been homeschooled for more than 7 years, were much more active in community and social life than their public school counterparts.

At Western Christian Academy, we have 37 years of experience empowering and equipping students so that they can become all that God wants them to be and all that they desire to become.

We believe that every student has unique God-given gifts and abilities and we help them by providing them with the tools which will enable them to become successful in every realm of their lives and in the world around them.

WCA offers your students a complete and all encompassing journey in education by providing them with the unique opportunity to grow with us from Pre-K through High School.

We recognize that education is about more than curriculum, it is about meeting our students and their families right where they are…TODAY!

Thank you for Choosing WCA as your trusted provider of excellence in Christian education.

We want to ensure that your student/s are prepared for their future in every way possible, Because We Care!

So funny. We love to hear feedback from our students.

TESTIMONIES & ENCOURAGEMENT

Teacher Appreciation Day was March 5th – Our teachers work very hard to support, encourage, guide and teach our students. We received many lovely responses from our students and parents. Each one was such an encouragement to our teachers. Another family bought lunch for the entire staff as well, so we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you who made our day so special. We love and appreciate all of our WCA students and their families!

Here is one of the many notes that we received, written by Makayla M., one of our WCA students:

I just wanted to say thank you to all of my amazing teachers for the many beautiful messages that they have sent over the past week. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25 You all are so generous by giving your time and effort to all of the children that you teach!

When you refresh us with your kind words, surely you will be refreshed by our Lord and Savior! “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6 You do this every day, whether it is with your own children, grandchildren, or students (maybe it is all of them)! You work hard in order to bring up a generation who will not turn from all that you have taught them by the power and insight of God! Have a blessed weekend! Much Christly Love to you and your families… Love, Makayla

Note From A WCA Student To A Teacher:

Hi, I have officially finished my Bible class. I am so blessed and glad I had you as a teacher. I could not have done it with out you or your hard work. You truly are an amazing teacher. I appreciate you getting back to me or grading for me in record time that was so helpful. You are the best. May God bless you. Sincerely,

Hadley T.

Note From A WCA Parent:

“I’m grateful for you all. Everyone I ever speak to there is so kind and helpful. Thank everyone there at WCA – In such a hard year you realize where your strength in choices in the past are and I am thankful for the light that guided us your way. All my friends kids school systems broke down and you stayed solid through this for my boy who had a hard time in every other way. Thank you.”

What 2019-2020 9th Grade Naudia Massie & 11th GradeTrinity Massie Are Saying About WCA…

GRACE, JOY, HOPE & FAITH…

They are special! These two sets of twin sisters were adopted by Jeff and Danette Gillingham. (Mother) Danette explains, “We adopted them as frozen embryos from a couple who had done in vitro and had leftover frozen embryos. The mother was too old to have any more children and was burdened about these “babies” that were in Frozen Storage waiting for life. An adoption agency in Southern California started a program to match infertile couples with genetic families that had frozen embryos.” It’s called the Snowflake Embryo Adoption Program. No two snowflakes are alike as are no two embryos!

The Gillingham’s were among the first families to adopt. Danette actually gave birth to their adopted children and all four girls are 100% genetic siblings.

This information was kept somewhat private for many years, but eventually this amazing family of six decided that this information should be shared. After multiple radio, TV and newspaper interviews regarding their adoption story, they were invited to The White House to meet President Bush and stood on stage with him as he vetoed the Embryonic Stem Cell Research Bill.

These four sisters, Savannah & Morgan age 17, and Hailey & Jillian, age 14, soon to be 15, call themselves the GillyGirls, an Americana, Bluegrass band. Growing up on a 5-Generation family ranch in California’s Sierra Nevada foothills has given them a love for all things country and that includes traditional American music. It is easy to forget they haven’t done this for long. They make it look effortless and fun!

They have fans all over the United States and have produced several CD’s (https://gillygirls.us/store/), so check out their boutique for these and other items. The pandemic caused many of their concerts to be cancelled or postponed, but soon they will be on the road again! You can follow their itinerary.

If they are in your area, go meet the GillyGirls and their family! The girls and their music are lovely in every way.
