Happy St. Patrick’s
Day!
The old tale goes like this: St. Patrick used the abundant shamrock of the Emerald Isle to explain the holy trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) in his work to convert Irish people to Christianity, however it is so rare to find a 4 leaf clover, therefore it is considered GOOD LUCK to even find one.
As Christians, we do not need to rely on “Luck” but rather can enjoy experiencing the “Blessing of the Lord” in our lives.
Western Christian Academy Teachers and Staff work together with you as parents to help your children develop critical thinking skills, so that they will be able to discern truth from error.
This is your purpose as parents: to inform the conscience (ours first, then that of our children) with God’s eternal truths, and to make known the rewards or consequences of our choices either to obey or disobey, as promised in Scripture.
We then do our best to model what God’s ways look like in our lives, trusting that the light from both, guided by the Holy Spirit, will divinely persuade others to follow Christ with their own heart, mind and soul.
Our purpose is to train our disciples-by constant practice-to distinguish between good and evil, and teaching the wisdom of choosing the good.

Introducing Our WCA Alumnus Spotlight
Western Christian Academy has taught 2nd and 3rd generations of students the value of hard work, dedication, faith and commitment to Christ, a will to never give up, and pride in themselves. They have learned the skills to win yet they have also learned how to handle crises…and at times, even defeat. For in this, you learn to overcome future problems and secure solutions to problems facing our society. The diversity of our student population also enables us to learn from each other, thus enabling us to impact many for Christ around the globe.

Introducing WCA Alumni Of The Month
1996 Graduate, Aaronne Kessler Stoddard
My name is Aaronne Kessler Stoddard. I am 1 of 5 children in the same family who graduated from WCA. Upon my graduation from WCA in 1996, I went to Fresno, CA where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University in 2002. Next, I attended a “Year in the Son” with Elim Bible Institute which was another life-changing opportunity. Currently I work in the San Luis Obispo County Auditor’s Office.
One of the things that I loved about attending WCA was the flexibility of being able to work and attend school at the same time, thus obtaining invaluable work experience. I also enjoyed being able to focus on school and not having to deal with the issues of bullying and peer pressure.
Homeschooling with WCA, blessed me with plenty of time to enjoy my many outdoor sports and activities. While other students were having 2 hours of homework, I was doing the things I loved!

9th Grade Student…
Elizabeth Miller!
to learn more !
We chose homeschool for her to help her be closer to what she loved so much as a child…GOD. Elizabeth loves to go to church, attend Vacation Bible School every summer, and be in the Christmas play each year.
Aside from that, Liz loves volleyball, being outside, and the most important these past couple years is her new niece, Faith. She also loves to get out to visit her grandparents in Colorado every chance we get. The family photo was taken there when me and her father renewed our wedding vows in 2015.
We also wanted to have Elizabeth to begin to learn the responsibility of keeping a schedule and managing time on her own. A small roller skating accident 2 years ago did put a slight damper on that. She has been doing a lot of catching up instead. She fell and broke her ankle in 3 places that resulted in a 3.5 hour surgery to reconstruct her ankle.
We plan to let Elizabeth finish high school with WCA because everything is just so easy for all of us and our busy schedules. We appreciate WCA being there for families like us. Thank you WCA!!!

What Is The Purpose Of Education?
The purpose of education is to educate students in the Bible, language, subject matter, and character.
The purpose of education is to build character and to train children to do right because it is right to do right. Right character training leads a child to focus on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith.
Can you imagine a nation governed by those who has no moral fiber or strength and who make all of their choices and decisions based on their feelings, needs, selfish motivation and desires, conflicts and attitudes?
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12 KJV
Parents, lead the way for your children!
WCA teachers and staff, and our parent-teachers are building on the firm foundation of the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ. We serve together as a light in the darkness of this present age, guiding our students to become a light that can be set upon a hill, to illuminate the path for generations to come.
