To Connect And Reflect The Values Of WCA
To Its Families And Students…
Rising nearly 5,000 feet above Yosemite Valley and 8,800 feet above sea level, Half Dome is a Yosemite icon and a great challenge to many hikers. So come and visit WCA as you travel to Yosemite National Park this year. We’d love to get to know you better.
The Daliyah Family Visits WCA
They brought unique Indian desserts to share at our MEET AND GREET pizza and salad luncheon! What a joy it was to get to meet them and to hear what God is doing in and through their hearts and lives.

WCA PRAYS! WHAT CAN YOU DO?
PLEASE PRAY NOW FOR TURKEY AND SYRIA!
Please pray with us… “So many people are afraid. Comfort them, Lord, in this disaster. Jesus, please be their rock when the earth refuses to stand still, and shelter them under your wings when their homes no longer exist. Lord, please embrace in your arms those who died so suddenly. Console the hearts of those who mourn. Pierce also our hearts with compassion. Once the shaking has ceased and the news reports fade away, help us to not forget the many suffering survivors who have lost their homes and everything they owned, including countless loved ones. We pray for the relief workers and how this crisis is now and will continue to affect them, long after the quaking has stopped.”
We praise God for the Christians who are working to minister Christ to the lost and grieving amidst this terrible tragedy. With so many dead, and some precious lives saved, as well as churches of all denominations destroyed, local believers are racing to the frontlines of emergency response. “Now is the time when people will be reaching out to God, and the church must be ready to show them the love of Christ.”
God’s aim is bigger. We expect stories of miracles—as happened in the earthquake of 1999. Mourning now, there will soon be space to rejoice. Christian doctors and engineers are already on their way to the front lines. Like the people of Turkey altogether, believers rallied to help their neighbors.
Samaritan’s Purse and many organizations are also stepping up to the plate to provide humanitarian assistance and hope! Please pray for these countries as they struggle to rebuild from these ashes and loss.
PRAYER REQUESTS
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) We hope that these Scriptures on intercession encourage you as you seek the Lord each day in prayer. Whether you have been praying for someone for a few weeks or for many years, don’t stop praying. PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING!
WCA is praying for YOU!
Introducing 2019 WCA Graduate Danny Dubois
From Danny’s Mom, Mary Dubois:
Western Christian Academy was truly a godsend. His former homeschool program made so many changes, including assignments being turned in on a specific date and not allowing us to work on holidays and weekends, which were a couple of the reasons we needed to homeschool. Western Christian Academy was flexible, as well as interesting, and met our needs completely. We love the program and the supportive staff.
Danny sings and plays piano in concerts with his music school. He currently does vocal and piano performances, and he can also play the guitar and drums.
From Danny:
I think it was a good school for me because I learned a lot.
Right now I am playing tennis, going to the gym, and studying music. I have been studying music at our local community college and have earned a Certificate in Music Production. I plan to teach music. (This is where his heart lies.) I enjoy snorkeling and going to dinner with friends.
At WCA, we believe that God has a very special plan for EVERY student! No two students are exactly alike. Each one has unique gifts and skills and Danny is still in the process of seeing God’s plan be unveiled in his young life.
OUR FOCUS: Our godly teachers and staff are focused, not only on the success of each child’s education, but on their spiritual condition as well. Our educational process keeps God in the forefront of their studies. We firmly believe that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
While some schools may afford their students with an education that may prepare them for life, we strive to give them a two-fold education that prepares them for life and eternity.
“Public education was intended to serve as the vehicle for gradually shifting the U.S. to socialism and replacing Christianity with secular humanism.” – Carole Hornsby Haynes PhD, educational analyst
