To Connect and Reflect the Values of WCA to its Families and
Students…
Ask Your Children What They Are GLAD About!
With Spring already in full bloom and Summer almost here, it is certainly a time for joy as we leave the cold and wet, snowy and foggy winter days behind. It’s always time to REJOICE and BE GLAD!
Teach your children to be GLAD!
Make practicing GRATITUDE a special time that your children will look forward to!
Gratitude – Something they’re grateful for
Learning – Something they’ve learned
Accomplishment – Something they’ve achieved
Delighted – Something that brought them joy and made them feel glad or happy.
After dinner or devotions, one time per week, allow each family member the opportunity to reflect on their week and share how they have seen God’s blessings and guidance.
It’s a lovely way to build the mindset of gratitude through simple reflection.
Start practicing the “attitude of gratitude”.
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Learn a song with scriptures if possible.
In Ephesians 5:19, we’re told we should be “speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.” Learning a Scripture song with others helps you fulfill this biblical command, learn the passage more easily, and adds to your enjoyment of the process. Consider writing your own song to go with a passage of Scripture.
These are all FUN ways to create JOY and GLADNESS as you rejoice in the Lord.
Be blessed with a spirit of Joy…
for the joy of the Lord is your strength!
By choosing to adopt a positive outlook practicing gratitude, and taking action, we can navigate life’s surprises and challenges with grace and resilience. Your attitude determines your altitude!

PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING!
Worry is a choice we often make in place of prayer. You don’t need to carry the weight of the world on your own shoulders. Praying acknowledges God is there and is more than able to create miracles on your behalf. Simply tell Him what you need and remember to thank Him for all He has done. It is then that you will experience God’s peace. His peace will guard your hearts and minds against everything that is happening around you. Peace is not circumstantial. Our peace is found IN CHRIST.
If you have a prayer need for your family, please call us at 800-868-5839 and we will add your family to our prayer board. Our Staff prays daily for our WCA families and their prayer concerns. You can also email your requests to: wca@westernchristianacademy.com.

Introducing 2023 WCA Graduate
Isabeli Marie Barrett
Isabeli’s Parents Are Saying:
WCA has been a blessing to our family in many ways. It allowed me to remove my daughter from the failing public school system and into an environment that used God’s teachings as a foundation. The curriculum and support throughout the years have been second to none and really enhanced our overall experience with WCA.
In recent years, my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Unfortunately, that takes a toll on the entire family. Fortunately, it felt like the entire school rallied behind us in support, prayers, encouragement, and understanding as we persevered through tough times. I will forever be grateful for the love and guidance provided to us.
James Christiansen, one of the sweetest and kindest teachers I’ve met, is my favorite instructor at WCA. His tales and escapades from the military were quite interesting to hear.”
Thank you, WCA!
Isabeli Says…
“Western Christian Academy is an excellent school I have attended since sixth grade. They have supported me through my ups and downs over the last few years. Due to family health difficulties and my experience of homelessness in my senior year of high school, it was a challenging time for me. There are five people in my family – my mother, my father, and my two sisters. A few hobbies of mine are playing video games, watching anime, cosplaying, and coding. Computer Science happened to be my favorite class, as that is what my father does. One of my goals is to become a web developer or video game developer.
