Hi, my name is Lee Brown. I am a husband to my middle school sweetheart, Kara, and father to our daughter Avery and son Emory. If I’m not studying and teaching the Bible you can find me with my family, outdoors hiking, kayaking, strung up in a hammock or in a coffeeshop reading a book while listening to a variety of instrumental tunes.
I have had the honor of serving full time as a pastor for over a decade now and I have been eagerly teaching the Bible since I was 15 years old. You’re never too young to start! In 2016 I graduated with a B.S. in Ministerial Leadership via Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. A few years later, in 2020 I would graduate with an M.A. in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
I’ve never been too good at selecting a favorite Bible verse because I don’t know how too choose just one! There’s so many good ones. Most often when someone asks me I just hand them the entire Bible and tell them open to any page!
I’d have to say that one particular text that has captivated my heart is Philippians 1:20 where Paul is proclaiming that the sole motivation of his life and even death is to glorify Christ! That’s truly the cry of my heart, to glorify Christ. Another is Ecclesiastes 12:13 in which the author declares the sole purpose of the human life is to learn to fear the Lord! These two verses energize me with purpose and cause me to remain focused on running this race well.
