Biography
I am happily married to my best friend and a wonderful Christian man. I have two grown sons, two step daughters, plus 13 grandchildren. I have a bilateral deafness of 90%. By utilizing hearing aids, an FM system and SKYPE, I am able to remain a productive member of WCA. My husband is legally blind. He serves as my ears and I serve as his eyes. A disability does not define us; it expands us. I graduated from Stuttgart American High School where my father was stationed in Germany with the military. I attended Calhoun Community College, Faulkner Junior College, Cuesta College and the University of Vienna with a major in in Business Management. I served as a missionary to Eastern Europe and Austria for 7 ½ years, smuggling Bibles and ministering to children and women in these countries through teaching Sunday school and leading Bible Studies. I have had the awesome responsibility and privilege to serve as the school registrar at Western Christian Academy for the past nearly 7 years. I was the editor for WCA’s Facebook page for the last 3 years and am now serving as the editor of WCA’s monthly newsletter. I enjoy my work with Western Christian Academy. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling, quilting, crocheting and embroidery. I love to cook and enjoy experimenting with new recipes.
My philosophy in life is the same as it was when I was a new born Christian at 17 years of age.
“We’ve only one life, t’will soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
